2025: 05/15-19 Fusing in the 3rd Dimension Workshop, with Tony Serviente
May 15-19, 2025, 10am-5pm daily.
Skill Level: Open to All Levels
Dive into the exciting world of three-dimensional fused glass art! Most fused glass pieces are two-dimensional unless slumped or draped in subsequent firings. In this workshop, you'll learn innovative techniques to achieve height and depth in a single full-fuse firing, creating dynamic pieces that interact with light and movement in ways traditional fused glass does not.
What You’ll Learn:
- Techniques for creating three-dimensional effects in one full-fuse firing
- How to make pieces that play with light and movement
- Fundamentals of kiln schedules, kiln types, controllers, and other warm glass topics
Who Should Attend:
This class is open to all skill levels. Basic glass working skills are helpful but not necessary:
- Beginners: Leave with beautiful, finished projects
- Experienced artists: Add new tools and techniques to your repertoire
Additional Highlights:
The workshop includes engaging side trips into various aspects of kiln operation, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the medium. Expect a session full of energy and enthusiasm, reflective of the instructor’s dynamic (and caffeinated) teaching style.
Join us for a creative journey that will elevate your glass art skills to new heights!
