10/14-10/21 Optic Weave: Making Optical Bowls in Glass

Class will meet on October 14 and 21, from 10am to 1pm.

Skill Level: Open to All Levels, ages 16+

Get ready to bend light and play with perspective in this mesmerizing fused glass workshop! In Optic Weave, you’ll explore how deliberate spacing, pattern, and structure can transform flat glass into dynamic, light-catching forms that shift and change as you move around them. Over the course of the class, you’ll design, cut, and assemble your own woven-style glass pieces that, once fired, become beautifully patterned bowls full of depth and dimension.

We’ll cover everything from layout and color planning to kiln setup and firing schedules, so you’ll walk away with both finished pieces and the knowledge to recreate the technique on your own. Whether you’re new to pattern building or an experienced artist ready to try something fresh, this class is a visually stunning adventure in optics, texture, and design.
