In this unique workshop, you’ll explore the art of working with a powdered frit and binder mixture to create flexible, paper-like glass sheets. These wafer sheets can be cut with scissors, folded, shaped, and sculpted into stunning floral forms.

You’ll start by making your own custom wafer sheets, which become the foundation for your glass flowers. Using paper templates, you’ll design rose petals, buds, leaves, and other elements, then translate those designs into glass. Enamel paints can be used to embellish and add vibrancy to the petals. Once fired, your creations will be sealed, assembled onto wire stems, and finished as a glass bouquet—complete with dimensional roses and leaves.

In addition to roses, you’ll have the opportunity to experiment with custom wafer elements and even explore using glass clay to model additional floral components.
