ONLY 4 SEATS LEFT!
November 6-9, 2020.
This 4-day workshop will cover techniques Morgan uses to achieve the crisp linear quality and distinctive character of his glass work. Through technical demonstrations and one-on-on discussion, we will explore facets of the process including:
- Developing ideas in the sketchbook
- Making effective design and color choices
- Cutting and assembling of glass compositions
- Basic powder printing
- Preparation of work for firing
Several different projects will allow students to experiment with these techniques while being challenged to think creatively about concept. Discussion of firing schedules, finishing work in the cold shop, and strategies for presenting it for display will round out the content. The aim of this class is to give students the tools to pursue their own unique visions efficiently, confidently, and to have fun while doing so.
All materials included.
Class limited to 8 students.
